When it comes to learning and growing in our self-awareness and emotional intelligence, we also need to know where we're starting and get an honest assessment of where we are.
If you don't truly know what motivates you, why you operate the way you do, then any extra work is like driving in the dark without headlights—you're moving, but without direction or clarity. And, you're likely to crash into something along the way.

Get your bearings

In Ephesians 4, Paul encourages us to take off our old selves, which are corrupted in our deceitful desires, and put on the new selves created in Christ. By discovering your Enneagram type, you take another step toward seeing a vision of that new self, and what life could look like when you cast aside your old self.
